Greg D. Calvert is a senior managing director with Hunt Mortgage Group, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hunt Companies. He serves as the chief credit officer (CCO) for the Affordable Multifamily business and Chief Underwriter for Hunt Mortgage Group’s Fannie Mae Multifamily Affordable Housing (MAH) and Freddie Mac Targeted Affordable Housing (TAH) Programs. He is also the head of the Hunt’s Affordable Multifamily housing credit department, which consists of Hunt’s Affordable Housing underwriting platform, FHA underwriting platform, and the construction risk group. In his capacity as chief credit officer, Mr. Calvert is directly responsible for the Affordable Multifamily division’s credit functions including credit review/approvals and credit policy. Prior to being named CCO for the affordable transactions, Mr. Calvert oversaw the firm’s underwriting platform for all debt and equity investments made by the firm and its subsidiaries. Mr. Calvert joined the company as a vice president and underwriter in 1995, specializing in the analysis of affordable and market rate multifamily housing investments. As a chief underwriter, Mr. Calvert was responsible for underwriting and real estate analysis of more than $4 billion of low-income housing tax credits equity investments, and more than $2 billion of affordable and market-rate bond-financed multifamily assets. Before joining Hunt Mortgage Group’s predecessor company, Mr. Calvert was vice president of property management for the Kamson Corporation, where he was responsible for the management of an investment real estate portfolio consisting of multifamily, office, and retail properties. He directed that 25 company’s efforts as third-party receiver for nonperforming loans and, in that capacity, represented the company’s interests in federal court.

Mr. Calvert earned the Master of Science in Real Estate Investment from New York University and the Bachelor of Science in Economics from Cornell University. He is a Certified Property Manager (CPM) and a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and the National Association of Realtors.
