Biography

Dan Wolins is a Managing Director and Chief Credit Officer for the Proprietary Loan program with Hunt Mortgage Group. He is based in New York and has spent his entire 21-year career in commercial real estate finance.

Previously, he was a partner at Olmsted Capital, a New York-based real estate private equity firm. Before Olmsted, Mr. Wolins worked as a consultant for Barclays Capital on their CMBS team and also for Spring 11, a commercial real estate due diligence provider.  Prior to that he was a Director for Deutsche Bank’s Commercial Real Estate Group in London for two years, where he was responsible for managing the team’s collateral risk in the origination and securitization process. His focus there included: pricing new loans, participating in loan decisions and working closely with the originations, structuring and distribution teams to ensure consistency of lending criteria and data dissemination in the distribution process. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank in 2006, Mr. Wolins worked for eight years in the Real Estate Finance and Securitization Group at Credit Suisse in New York.  There he was a deal manager for fixed and floating rate CMBS securitizations, and a member of their internal credit committee.

Mr. Wolins graduated from the University of Vermont with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
